DIY – Semicouture dress and coat

IMG_0731

This is an outfit I am so proud of indeed! I sewed it a few weeks ago can’t even believe to have done it myself … 🙂IMG_0749IMG_0745

The coat (here sewed in white with the same pattern) rather was planned to the rosewood silk dress – I bought these two fabrics to sew a matching dress and coat at Schumacher’s friends’ boutique – which is a very nice look too. Then I remembered this amazing crepe stretch in this unbelievable “meat color” I never knew what to sew of.

But sometimes I suddenly get an inspiration out of nothing and then I know what to do with whatever – funny. So in this case as well:
I own a winter dress in black jersey by Schumacher and this was exactly the solution I was looking for. I copied the shape and prepared a pattern by just omitting the sleeves. Really – the original already had this extraordinary shoulders/sleeves form and exactly the same shape.IMG_0754
In my opinion the result looks amazing – next time when I was at the friend’s boutique wearing my new combination for sure 😉 I received so many admiring glances and compliments – great!IMG_0775IMG_0760

Adding my green Schumacher heels (similar here), my fancy yellow sunglasses by Blumarine, my beautiful clutch by Malìparmi (similar here) – and ready to make this your day…

By the way – I am looking for a matching bag to my beloved green heels ever since I bought them. Does anybody know where I could get one? Please give me some advice – love, Indra.
