Kind of a Marni blouse

IMG_5613I am sure you already recognized that I am a great fan of Marni. I just simply like their perception of women being soft and strong at the same time. When I collected inspirations for my recently sewed all about retro dress on Pinterest, I found pictures of this blouse as well and instantly fell in love with the shape and the design.
In April I bought this fabric at Schumacher’s friends’ boutique but didn’t really know what to sew of it – it was never the right fabric or design or both. But as I told before one day the shape or pattern finds the fabric quite automatically – so in this case. When I saw the blouse I realized that this would be the right gown to sew of this fabric.
The lining inside is a scarf of Odeeh I bought but never liked – though I liked the design and the fact that it was silk. And since a few month I am keeping these two fabrics together to combine them one day…

My styling is a slight copy of the look on Net-a-porter, I tried to imitate it a bit, but unfortunately I miss such a fancy necklace of Marni – always though it was too expensive for me 🙁

Pants: Laurèl
Shoes: French Connection
Sunglasses: DvF
Accessoires: Swarovski (except the necklace, this is an old cheap one)
