Playful doesn’t mean sweet

IMG_2467Today I loved to wear my playful making me dancing dress again. I tried to express a rather feminine but adult aspect of it not this sweet and innocent I did before. With my belt worn at its front only (therefore I sewed two splits into the side seams of the dress so that you can wear belts in different ways) it even gets a little retro feeling. Unfortunately the dress is not on the DIYs list as I sewed it a few years ago (and I threw the pattern away when I sewed my formally known as curtain dress, DIYs I N°11, because it didn’t work at all…) but here you can see it in an older post.

The main problem is its neckline. I improvised too much when I sewed it though not being experienced enough like today… Today I would accomplish it differently but in those days I simply did not know how to fix it so that the fitting would be perfect. In order to that I always need to cover the neckline by a scarf. Mine of today is an older one by Schumacher made of easy to wear jersey, shoes by Salvador Ribes, sunglasses by Max&Co., accessoires by Joop.
