Ladies,…

IMG_6197(and of course you likable Gentlemen following me too…) my shooting of today was a bit tricky:
I drove to a neighbor village, chose a shooting location and right when I set everything in place and pushed the button to start the camera the warning light up  “please change battery”…

So I drove back home, picked up my other battery, drove back to the location and started the shooting on a second try again…

As you might have assumed right: This is the first piece of my creamy white collection I already wrote some sewing notes about. It is made of this particular wafer fabric in cotton – ideally meant for some garments for the sauna or bathroom 😉 and I sewed this pretty much Chanel inspired dress of it due to an inspiration by Giovanna Battaglia. What would you say? I came quite close to the original one – but in that color I loved the dress to be 🙂IMG_6112

Honestly it was very much work to do – more than I expected it to be. Those open and frazzled edges were all about to be done manually. I needed to separate the treads of the fabric all around – couldn’t hardly feel my fingertips anymore…
First I ironed a very light weight sewing fleece inside to avoid the fabric to stretch in an inelegant way though therefore it was so warm then, too hot for a summer garment so that I finally cut it out again – what a waste of time and material! Likewise this makes the dress much more wearable and softer regarding its fall – I guess it won’t wrinkle and stretch too much – hopefully?!

What makes me most excited about it is the price: The fabric was a rest being at 160x120cm for about 20€ (special pricing conditions for me as a blogger – but for “normal” people about 30€ or so) plus 100cm of lining for 8€ per meter and some thread (I don’t count the fleece though I paid for it of course…) and so we are ending at 30€ for the dress!
My shoes were by “Best Secret” for 49€ plus some accessoires like my oldy but goldy clutch by Malìparmi and some golden jewelry of my little treasury box. – Isn’t that a brilliant price for this great look?!

(I will update my DIYs list in the next days to provide you more details.)
