Voilà! My Blumarine inspired top I sewed last Tuesday!
I guess it was last summer when I saved this picture of a top by Blumarine. I always am collecting ideas without the intention to sew it immediately. But some certain time later I double-check this collection and like this time I come across an idea matching perfectly my current sewing projects.
Lately I realized not to have enough tops (in the same shade and elegance) for my creamy white pants. But when I came across this top I instantly new that this would be the perfect one! I didn’t have the right fabric at home (I first wanted to wait for Schumacher’s friends’ boutique to buy the same I used for my Ports 1961 inspiration) and therefore I just took some fabrics in similar shades I kept in my chest.
I don’t want to sew muslin and so it is great to try a new -self developed – pattern. If you are lucky and everything went well, you can wear the prototype – if not it is the same work as if to sew a muslin…
Basically it looks okay but I will revise it to make it more elegant for the next try – and will then write a sewing diary about.
